Happy New Year Heritage Makers!!!
I hope everyone had a great Christmas break! Texas had a shockingly "white" Christmas. Literally, it snowed on Christmas Eve here...the first in decades. I loved it, because it felt like Christmas at home. But here we are January 11th, and we are finally back up to our warmer winter weather.
For Christmas, I gave my husband a book about him and our kids. He complained that I didn't know all he did for our family...so I made him a book about all he does.
I, also, took some 12X12 scrapbook pages and made them into Bingo cards. I used a cool template from the gallery. Our family loves to play games and now we can play bingo with the family's pictures in each spot. Here is the link to my bingo cards:

This holiday season was full of good memories for me. It was also a great learning experience in working with HM. I helped many of you complete your Christmas storybooks, cards and projects. And I enjoyed every moment.
Now, I am excited for this New Year and our new goals. Heritage Makers is having some awesome sales and promotions for Hostesses this month. Lets make 2010 a great year with no regrets!

Our Family ABC Book
I love books! I love to read them, buy them and share them with my family and friends! My first completed project was an ABC book for my kids. My husband even helped me put some finishing touches in it...hidden inside some of the pages are items to find. For example, an ice cream cone on the "I" page, a key on the "K" page, a yak on the "Y" page and smiley faces on the "S" page... This book was fun, because each page is different and I learned a lot about different designs and art collection options.
I recommend for your first project to start with a smaller book, card, poster, or use a template that you love. It can be overwhelming to create your own book from scratch, because the art collection has so much to offer. Good luck, and enjoy it the process!

Welcome to my new Heritage Makers blog!
I am so excited to introduce myself and to share my Heritage Maker projects with you!
I joined Heritage Makers in August of 2009. I learned about this awesome company over the previous summer from a friend. I wasn't sure if I wanted to pursue a story booking business at first, but I couldn't stop thinking about it. It was one of those ideas that kept me awake at night. I kept reviewing all the projects and ideas that I wanted to make. I joined because I am a big believer in creating great family traditions and memories.
I have never been a "scrapbooker". I actually call myself a "photo albumer", but now, I call myself a Heritage Maker! I love making my own books. My kids love to carry around little photo albums with family pictures in them, and now they can carry around their own storybook filled with fun memories. The great part is that I enjoy making these books, my children love to read them, and these books will be preserved for future generations.
I am really excited about this business, and the opportunities that it offers for you and your families! I hope to share some of my family traditions with you through this blog.
